Direct Cremation Funeral Plans with Harbour: dignified, stress-free, and the lowest price guaranteed.

Planning a funeral can be a stressful experience during an already difficult time. Having a funeral plan in place removes the financial stress and the emotional challenges of planning a funeral once a loved one has passed.

What’s included?

A funeral plan with Harbour covers everything you need for a direct cremation:

Collection

Harbour will collect somebody from anywhere in England or Wales, 24/7, whether that be from a hospital, a mortuary, or from a care home or private residence.

Weight limitations apply.

Coffin

An environmentally-friendly, British-made coffin will be provided and Harbour will look after your loved one until the cremation itself.

Cremation

The cremation will then take place privately at one of our regional crematoria.

Whilst you won’t be able to attend the cremation in person, Harbour will make sure to inform you of the date and time beforehand, should you wish to mark the occasion remotely.

Ashes

The ashes can then be scattered in the crematorium’s Garden of Remembrance, or, returned to your loved one in a sustainably-sourced, wooden urn made by British craftsmen, complete with an engraved nameplate, to anywhere in England or Wales.

Is my money safe?

From August 2022, the Financial Conduct Agency will begin regulating all funeral plans.
We recommend waiting until this deadline has passed, to ensure that your money is safe.

Between now and then, our prices will not change, but we will not be accepting any advance payments.
So you can rest assured knowing you are getting the best price possible and your money is safe.

Frequently asked questions

Why prepay?

A prepaid funeral plan affords you the comfort and security of a reasonable and fair price. Current funeral costs are rising faster than inflation, with prices increasing by 65% in the last decade alone. As such, direct cremation is becoming increasingly popular, with its lower price point appealing to customers across the country.

Having a funeral plan prepaid locks in the price, saving you from the expense of rapidly rising fees.

What if prices rise?

One of the benefits of having a prepaid funeral plan is that you have secured the price already.

Even if prices increase, you and your family won’t have to pay anything in excess. The prepaid price you pay remains the same. This protects you and your loved ones from increasing costs and inflation.
